The Abberly Property Water Damage Service

Step 1: Water Pump Out

Whether from burst water pipes or rising river levels, we will take emergency action to pump water out of your property. This is done with high pressure water pumps that work quietly and efficiently to remove water and prevent further building damage.

Step 2: Damp Assessment

The spread and degree of moisture saturation through buildings and building materials can be assessed using Protimeter measuring equipment and infra-red damp detecting camera technology. This enables the following:

  • Identification of the cause of damp problems – be they from leaking pipes, rising damp or structural building failure;
  • Assessing the degree of moisture saturation of buildings;
  • Monitoring the progress of building drying program;
  • Targeting suitable levels of building dryness;
  • Co-ordination of building drying with building reinstatement.

Step 3: Structural Building Drying

Buildings damaged by water usually always require a drying program as the natural drying process is not fast enough and requires acceleration in order to minimise building damage. Failing to adequately dry a building following water damage can result in mould growth and compromising the structural integrity of the building.

With the use of specialist building drying equipment, Abberly Property targets drying as required. Refrigerant and desiccant dehumidification machines are used to reduce the humidity of air where required, while air movers deliver dry air to wet building materials and remove saturated air from around the damp affected areas.

Building drying programs are set up to achieve maximum drying progress with minimum disruption to the home and business occupier. Drying progress is monitored with the use of damp assessment techniques, the results are charted and reported back to the client. This ensures that all parties are kept fully informed of the work progress.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us for further information or advice on our services.

Step 4: Mould Remediation

Using the damp assessment techniques described above, it is possible to ascertain the cause of mould problems. Often caused by condensation or rising damp, mould needs to be eradicated urgently in order to reduce the potential harm caused by mould spores. We provide a mould identification and diagnostic service and will advise on or undertake mould remediation and removal.

Step 5: Reinstatement

After the drying program and the damp/mould remediation works have taken place then we will undertake the necessary reinstatement works; be it re-building bathrooms and kitchens to undertaking decorating and cosmetic works.

We undertake building refurbishment and reinstatement work to all types of property; commercial and residential.
